This past weekend

Let's see, where to begin. Well Friday, 11/13/15, night was a pretty laid back night; where I decided to stay home and just relax. Saturday was filled with things to do, from getting up early to rake up leaves, then head to the gym for my chest and biceps workout and then come home to get ready to meet up with friends for a night out on the town. Sunday was spent with my best friend celebrating his birthday. We went out to lunch, then to a movie where we seen the new James Bond movie, "Spectre"; then headed out for drinks afterwards. I am not a big fan of the James Bond movies after Sean Connery left the role, but I do have to admit that Daniel Craig did a good job in this and the movie overall wasn't that bad.

After getting home from the long day of celebrating with my friend, I started to feel like crap and ended up calling off from work today, Monday 11/16/15. I don't know what I caught, but I could sleep all night due to the coughing and not being able to breathe due to my nostrils being constantly clogged up. Well resting all day and drinking lots of liquids has cleared up most of it, but still coughing a bit; which I hope will clear up after a good night's sleep, because I know I have tons of work to catch up once I get back to the office.

Well since it's after midnight, I guess it would be appropriate to say; that yesterday, Wednesday 11/11/15 we gave thanks to all those men and women, that have put themselves in the line of fire in order to keep us safe and defend our country. Thank you Veterans for all that you have done and continue to do for us.

Tonight I met up with my lifting buddy and had a great shoulder workout. Ben and I decided to go a totally different route, than what we would normally do for a shoulder workout. Here's tonight's routine:

Machine Shoulder Presses - (Warm-up 2 sets x 10 reps)
1 set x 8 reps - 160 lbs.
1 set x 8 reps - 170 lbs.
2 sets x 8 reps - 180 lbs.

High Cable Reverse Lateral Flyes
1 set x 8 reps - 20 lbs.
1 set x 8 reps - 25 lbs.
1 set x 8 reps - 30 lbs.

Low Pulley Side Lateral Raises
3 sets x 8 reps - 25 lbs.

Low Pulley Frontal Lateral Raises
3 sets x 8 reps - 30 lbs.

T-Bar Rows **
1 set x 10 reps - 170 lbs.
1 set x 8 reps - 180 lbs.
1 set x 8 reps - 200 lbs.

Bad Day at the Ballfield on Sunday

In case any of you guys on here didn't know, I play softball on sundays for our local bear bar; my team is called "The Bad News Bears". Well I wish I could say that we were not living up to that name, but in fact we are "bad"...LOL. Actually, we have a good mix of men playing on the team; we just can't seem to get it together. Each week we have managed to build up a HUGE lead leading into the final two innings, but for some odd reason we've managed to let the other team back into the game and even win it somehow......actually I know how it's happening, but I'm trying to be nice....LOL. As the heading of this blog entry states, it was a bad day for the team today; as we won our first game, but then lost (badly) our second game; then somehow we weren't notified by any of the league commissioners or even the team we were suppose to play against, that we indeed had a third we ended up having to forfeit that game by default, since most of my team had already left for the day. I guess I should be happy that I at least got to play twice today, but my competitive side is really ticked off....GRRRRRR Only because I don't mind losing a game on the field, but by forfeit / default, that really pisses me off. Okay, well.....I should get off of here and go find something to eat, since I'm freakin' starving and it's only 6:35am....LOL...but just had to get this off my chest in hopes that I can get past this weekends loss......LOL.

Finally getting back to LJ

I know, it's been a seriously long time since I last posted something on here and there isn't any excuse for it; I've just been lazy....LOL. Well I guess I should let some of my buddies on here know what's been going on with me lately. Over the past year I've had two promotions at work, which seem to take up most of my time; but can't really complain since my boss compensates me very well. :-) If I'm not at work these days, I can be found either at the gym trying to get back to where I was over a year ago with my build or I can be found on the ball diamond playing softball on Sundays. I know what you must be thinking....that is alot of man to be running around them which I would have to agree with you....LOL. My team "Bad News Bears" is doing okay thus far, since we are only into the first two weeks of the season. As for the home life, well I'm in the process of finally buying my first house; so I'm really stoked over more of having to live in an apartment....LOL. Well that's about it for right now, so I'll end it here and will keep this updated more regularly. Hope all of you had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend and take care.

Finally....A Bit of Time for Myself

Finally.....A day where I can sit down, relax and take the time to post something on here. Well it's been really rough both at work and at home since my last post here on LJ. I do want to apologize to those, especially my buddy Jeremy, I'm truly sorry for not responding back to you promptly. Work has been brutal over the past two months because of the tax season and my legal case loads have really piled up on me as well. I often come home from work around 6pm, grab my gym bag and get to the gym about 7pm for my workout. By the time I get home it's about 9pm and I'm pretty much ready for bed now. I know I must be whining and all, but this is how these past two months have been; which gives me hardly any time to chat with my online buddies or even post something on here, LJ.

I do have something that I want to put out there for everyone to read and hopefully help me out with. I'm at a sticking point with my lifting and I'm wondering if anyone might have any suggestions on how to get past this? If so, please let me know.

First Day of Week Long Vacation

Yesterday marked the first day of my week long vacation from work and I've got to say it felt really good. I woke up around 9am to the sound of one of my dogs wanting to be let out, so he could do his business; so I got up and let the two dogs out into the freezing cold. I didn't really know what I was going to do next, so I just stayed up and came down into the basement to surf the net and chat with some of my buddies back home in Southern California. As the day went on I started to get really bored just sitting inside the house, so around noon I decided to grab my 35mm camera and inter-changeable lenses and headed down to the local park to take some pictures; which I'm hoping to have developed and posted on my website soon. I do have to say that it was really calming and relaxing just sitting there watching the people walk by with their dogs or their kids enjoying the day.

I finally got home from the park around 3pm, which was good planning in hindsight; because the dogs needed to go out again. For the next three hours I just basically kicked back and watched tv and ate way too much junk food....LOL. So guess what I did next? That's right, I went to the gym to burn off some of that junk I ate. Tonight was cardio night, so I only spent about an hour on the eliptical glider and then went to the steamroom for about 15 minutes; it felt so good.

Well I finally got home from the gym around 8:45pm and sat around chatting with our roommate Jim about Linux (he's a wiz with this operating system); then watched more tv with him after. So, that was my first day off from work....I know, kind of dull; but it felt good to me and I've been needing it....LOL.

Something New

Well I finally did it...A buddy of mine introduced me to Live Journal a while back and now I have finally decided to create one of my own. I hope that by doing so I will be able to find new people to communicate with about their or my interests and also be able to put into words how I'm feeling or what is currently going on in my life...So here's to something new, which I hope will be a very good experience.
